Glass Harp, the legendary Ohio trio, made up of Phil Keaggy, John Sferra and Daniel Pecchio, continues to find ways to push the musical envelope of their power trio/jam band/prog rock genre. Building off the success of their double live CD "Strings Attached," Glass Harp has released "Hourglass." The 16-song studio CD is a tasty musical stew that feeds the soul.

Starting off the group penned, "7 in a Box," has a 7/4 time guitar riff joined by a 4/4 time hip hop 3 part harmony. The track ends, and before you can say cool, Pecchio's "What's In Your Heart" explodes with a delta rock groove with Keaggy on slide guitar joined by the world class Memphis Horn's adding their signature horn lines. The track goes out with a blistering jam by the trio. Leaving zero time between tracks Keaggy's power pop "You Whisper Something" comes at you right out of the British Invasion school of pop. Next Sferra's "Everlasting Light" transports you to the feel good Jam Band festivals with warm acoustic guitars and soaring 3-part harmony chorus.

That is just the first four songs. The CD goes on to present a tapestry of songs that are skillfully paced. The diversity of Sferra's ethereal 'Once a Day Dream," Keaggy's prog rock album cut "Voice of God Call Out" and Pecchio's lost 60's soul ballad "My Prayer" are stitched together with well thought out segues created by looping their own material, and great placement. The 70 plus minute CD finishes with a textbook anthem "If Love Is All You Got" and a surprise encore "Weather Boy" that is delivered with all the freshness of a teen garage band.

Together with the inspirational nature of the lyrics, Glass Harps' "Hourglass" is a balm to the sprit that is sure to be staying on the top of your CD pile.

7 In A Box
Words by Daniel Pecchio, Music By Daniel Pecchio, Phil Keaggy and John Sferra

I can’t say what you have to be
You can’t be what you’re telling me
Hang all day and you wonder why
You can’t see the truth through a wooden eye

That’s right, It’s Tight

I can’t say what you have to be
You can’t be what you’re telling me
Hang all day and you wonder why
You can’t see the truth through a wooden eye
How hard can it be to be what you can
As hard as it is to be an upright man

That’s right, It’s tight

WHAT’S IN YOUR HEART
Words Daniel Pecchio Music by Daniel Pecchio and Phil Keaggy

What’s that you’re saying
You’ve read it all
You know who’s going
And you know who will fall

It’s all right there
In black and white
You know who’s wrong
You know that you’re right

Turn to the Light away from the dark
It’s not the rules but what’s in your heart

Walking in lock step
Until you feel some pain
Find something better
Then you do it all again

Your brother’s weaker
Won’t make the climb
He needs your teacher
You’ve got a ticket to ride

Turn to the Light away from the dark
It’s not the rules but what’s in your heart

My God is good, my God is better
My God is best
Judged by what we know
Not by what I know
What’s in your heart
Will be the measure of the test

Turn to the Light away from the dark
It’s not the rules but what’s in your heart

YOU WHISPER SOMETHING
Words by Phil Keaggy and Jeremy Casella, Music by Phil Keaggy and Fuller

Everything I thought was given to me
Everything I thought was mine
Now You’re asking me to up and leave it all behind

Every little thing I held so precious
Every little thing so dear
Now You’re asking me to leave it all right here

You hold my future
In the palm of Your hand
You whisper something
My heart can understand

Every time I turn around something’s changing
Nothing ever stays the same
Hear it on a radio and see it on the TV screen

Everywhere I turn I see frightened faces
Clinging to a world spinning out of control
Send me and make me an instrument of Your peace

You hold my future
In the palm of Your hand
You whisper something
My heart can understand

Oh listen to my cry, listen to my heart beat
Bend down Your ear, my Savior nearer to me
I need you, need you, I need you here

Everything I’ve got was given to me
Everything that’s Yours is mine
Am I really willing to leave it all behind

You hold my future
In the palm of Your hand
You whisper something
My heart can understand
My heart can understand

EVERLASTING LIGHT
Words and Music by John Sferra

I know that you will be
My everlasting light
Shine for all to see
Like a star at night
You walked into my room
And danced across my floor
You've given me the key
To unlock my heart

Like the stories that you told me
I will be like them
Like the Psalms that you sing me
I'm renewed again and again

I know that you will be
My everlasting light
Shine for all to see
Like a star at night
You walked into my room
And danced across my floor
You've given me the key
To unlock my heart

All the glories that you showed me
I will wait for them
In the middle at the end
On you I depend

Like the stories that you told me
Like the songs you sing
I will go out
I might stumble
But you’re always near to me

I know that you will be
My everlasting light
Shine for all to see
Like a star at night
You walked into my room
And danced across my floor
You've given me the key
To unlock my heart

IN EVERY CATHEDRAL
Words and Music By Aaron Miller, Gene Miller and Phil Keaggy

Standing small to the paintings of Your face
Feeling loved in the presence of Your grace
Knowing You are here with me
Overwhelms my mind

I want to fly higher than high
Just like a spire, to touch the sky

I feel Your love in this place
Feel the warmth of Your embrace
As the sun shines through
The colors flood the room

I want to fly higher than high
Just like a spire, to touch the sky

In every cathedral across the land
People singing Your praises
Lifting their hands
In every city across the land
People singing Your praises
Lifting their hands, their hands

I feel Your love in this place
I feel the warmth of Your embrace
As the sun shines through
The colors flood the room

I want to fly higher than high
Just like a spire, to touch the sky

In every cathedral across the land
People singing Your praises
Lifting their hands
In every city across the land
People singing Your praises
Lifting their hands, their hands
Across the land
People singing Your praises
Lifting their hands, their hands

EASTERN STAR
Words and Music by John Sferra

I'm following an eastern star
And capturing joy and tears all
Letting go, you know love is strong
Enough to spread around
Enough to break a frown
And crack a smile, heal a heart
Feed a child, that’s a start.

Like a dove I'm flying to the light
Shining on your face
It’s the light behind the eyes
Of the human race

I'm traveling viewing life from a far
Unraveling passed experiences all
Taking note of small miracles of life
Sometimes we don't feel
We can make them real

And realize who we are
Where we’re from, where we go
And like that star we're racing
To a life dreams cannot replace
It' s a life beyond time, beyond space.

Like a dove I'm flying to the light
Shining on your face
It’s the light behind the eyes
Of the human race

I’m following an eastern star
I’m following an eastern star

THE IMAGE
Words and Music By Phil Keaggy

I’m not as honest a story walking about
My slumbering caught me talking out loud

Sometimes I hide behind the image I’m obliged to show
And for all the world to see
But they don’t know, they don’t know me

The road I’ve taken is leading me on
But don’t be mistaken where I’m coming from

I never meant to lie behind the image I’m obliged to show
To show, and to all of them who see
But they don’t know,
No, they don’t know, they don’t know me

What is this nonsense I’m talking about
You know I have a conscience I can’t live without

My heart is wide open for You, my Lord, to see
The real me, the real me

THAT WAY
Words Daniel Pecchio Music by Daniel Pecchio and Ted Pecchio

Where are you going
You’re looking so sad
The pain you’re showing
Is it really that bad

What can I say, what can I do
To help you through it all
I think I’ve been
That way before

It’s hard looking forward
When you’re stand… in your way
You try for the future
And live day to day

What can I say, what can I do
To help you through it all
I think I’ve been
That way before

What can I say, what can I do
To help you through it all
I think I’ve been
That way before

One step ahead
And you fall two behind
All you… got coming
Is the trouble you find

Life can change
In the blink of an eye
I think I’ve been
I think I’ve been
That way before

Where are you going
Where are you going

VOICE OF GOD CALL OUT
Words By Wendy Messina, Music By Phil Keaggy

Under forgotten wishes thrown upon a star
Hear the voice of God call out
Can forgotten wishes be -----------washed so very far

To wander thru the meadow of eternal peaceful dreams
Hear our voice of God call out
I wander toward the emptiness of the quiet stream

Will this dream -------and need be embedded in my mind
Hear my voice, Oh God call out

Can the dream that’s now been lost ever be our find

Hear our voice of God call out
Hear our voice of God call out
Hear our God call out to us
Hear out God call out to us

ONCE A DAY DREAM
Words and Music by John Sferra

Once a day dream
Every day dream
Peace is everywhere
It’s a bright scene
With a freedom scheme
I am everywhere

Floating on an ocean
Standing on the shore
Feeling our devotion
To the very core

Once a day dream
Every day dream
Landscape in the sun
April showers
We're gone for hours
Singing songs un-sung

Walking thru the doorway
Dance across the floor
High on the highway
Wanting nothing more

High on the highway
Wanting nothing more

Once a day dream
Every day dream

WHAT MATTERS
Words and Music by Phil Keaggy

Here you are, you’re in over your head
Spread so thin, facing the dead of the night
And with every glance

There’s shattered dreams, broken pieces
It all seems so meaningless
You’ve run out of time, searching for the answers

Is this all chance, this sacred dance
What matters most, what matters
Is love’s never lost – love is never lost

Come close to me, open your heart
Come here and listen, and open your eyes
Come and embrace, open your arms
What matters most is love never dies
Go to the sea, the sea of forgiveness
Go to the well that never runs dry
Walk in the land, the land of the living
What matters most is love never dies

Pity the man who falls and then realizes
He has no one to help him up
Is that how it’s been my friend?
The time will come for last goodbyes
But what matters most, what matters
Is love’s never lost - love is never lost

Come close to me, open your heart
Come here and listen, and open your eyes
Come and embrace, open your arms
What matters most is love never dies
Go to the sea, the sea of forgiveness
Go to the well that never runs dry
Walk in the land, the land of the living
What matters most is that love never dies

I LOVE ALL LIFE
Words and Music by John Sferra

I once was a poor man living by the sea
I caught the fish who were me
I once was a mountain in the middle of the sky
A home for an eagle who was I
Once was a breeze on a windy day
I moved through the trees, and I made them sway
Once was a man, with secrets in his brain
Now I am unchained

Look what you’ve done to me
I love all life
Look what you’ve done to me
I love all life
When I think of you
I call your name

You are a woman head covered with leaves
Brought me through the forest, I saw through the trees
You are the lady who brought me to my knees
In peace
You are why I live and I die
You’re who teaches me to laugh and to cry
You are why I be
Is it true, you too are me.

Look what you’ve done to me
I love all life
Look what you’ve done to me
I love all life
When I think of you
I call your name

When I think of you I call your name

Look what you’ve done to me
Look what you’ve done to me
Look what you’ve done to me

THIS IS MY PRAYER
Words Daniel Pecchio Music By Daniel Pecchio and Phil Keaggy

You’re in my heart everywhere I go
You gave me love I have never known
Stay with me til there is no time
This is my prayer, this is my prayer
This is my prayer, this is my prayer

You opened my eyes when I could not see
Now something special’s inside of me
Please give me strength to go on each day
This is my prayer, this is my prayer
This is my prayer, please hear my prayer

How many times You were there to see me through
You know I would do the same for You
That’s what I trust You’ll understand
Your perfect love, I’m only a man

I walked in circles and You took my hand
You know my thoughts and You understand
Oh take me into Your loving arms
This is my prayer, this is my prayer
Please hear my prayer, please hear my prayer
This is my prayer

IF LOVE IS ALL WE’VE GOT
Words and Music by Paul Overstreet and Phil Keaggy

Sun comes up, sun goes down
And this whole world keeps spinning round
And I thank God for the love I find in your eyes

Every day I wake up to a miracle
And every night, the way you move me, it’s spiritual
I’m looking for the words to describe how I feel inside

Here I am looking out through eternity
By your side, this is where I’m supposed to be
If love is all we’ve got, then love is enough for me
We can dream, we can plan for a better day
If it comes, if it goes, it will be ok
If love is all we’ve got, then love is enough for me

In the streets on my way through the marketplace
In a window a reflection reveals my face
A look I never knew, the joy of having you in my life

Here I am looking out through eternity
By your side, this is where I’m supposed to be
If love is all we’ve got, then love is enough for me
We can dream, we can plan for a better day
If it comes, if it goes, we will be ok
If love is all we’ve got, then love is enough for me

That’s what I’m living for
For me it’s enough,
‘Cause I’m not alone anymore

If love is all we’ve got
When I’m with you I’m feeling ok
If love is all we’ve got
We’ll always feel this way
If love is all we’ve got, then love is enough for me.

If love is all we’ve got…….

WEATHER BOY
Words and Music by Phil Keaggy and Ian Keaggy

You can see my head is in the clouds
Thinking ‘bout the sun, the moon and stars
Thinking ‘bout those places near and far
And all of the mountains that stand so tall
And all about the planets Venus and Mars
Thinking ‘bout the One who made it all

I’m your weather boy
Whether or not here I come
Your weather boy
And I will run to you as fast as I can
And when I grow up I’ll be your weather man

Contemplating all the storms of life
And all of the events I can’t quite explain
And this world’s wild and windy ways
But I can feel the warmth of the sun’s bright rays

And I can tell when it will turn and rain
You can turn me on I see sunny days

Cause I’m your weather boy
Whether or not here I come
Your weather boy
And I will run to you as fast as I can
And when I grow up I’ll be your weather man

Weather boy
Whether or not here I come
Your weather boy
And I will run to you as fast as I can
And when I grow up I’ll be your weather man
